**Job Title: Plumber** **Job Description** As a Plumber Foreman, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful installation and maintenance of plumbing systems in various building structures. You will study building plans and working drawings, inspect structures, and determine the necessary work aids and sequence of installations. You will also be responsible for cutting openings, bending pipes, assembling and installing various types of pipes and fittings, and joining pipes using different methods. Additionally, you will test the system for leaks, maintain plumbing, and understand all contract documents and specifications. **Responsibilities** + Study building plans and working drawings to determine required work aids and sequence of installations. + Inspect structures to ascertain obstructions to avoid weakening the structure during pipe installation. + Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings. + Bend pipes to required angles using pipe-bending machines or by hand. + Assemble and install valves, pipe fittings, and pipes made of various materials such as iron, steel, brass, lead, glass, vitrified clay, and plastic. + Join pipes using screws, bolts, fittings, solder, plastic solvent, and caulking joints. + Test systems with water or air and read pressure gauges to ensure the system is leak-free. + Maintain plumbing by replacing washers in leaky faucets, mending burst pipes, and opening clogged drains. + Understand all contract documents and specifications. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in construction and plumbing techniques. + Knowledge of mechanical systems and structural integrity. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints. + Experience with piping installation and maintenance. + Skilled in working with various piping materials including PVC. + Experience in commercial construction and soldering. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in industrial plumbing is a plus. + Certifications in plumbing or related fields are advantageous. + Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. **Why Work Here?** Join a team where your skills and expertise are valued.
