Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Plumber who is well-versed in underground and new construction work, as well as fixture installations. The ideal candidate will be proficient in working with cast iron pipes, no hub, and installing drain waste and vent systems. You must be capable of cutting and threading pipe, reading blueprints/specifications, and performing both rough-in and trim-out phases of plumbing work. Experience with new construction and renovation in large commercial settings is essential.
ResponsibilitiesWork with cast iron pipe and no hub to install drain waste and vent systems.Cut and thread pipe to required specifications.Read and interpret blueprints and specifications.Perform rough-ins (above ground and underground) and finish/trim-out installations.Install vents, sewers, connections, and waterlines.Install fixtures, hangers, and pipes.Measure, cut, thread, or bend pipe using hand or power tools and machinery.Study building plans and inspect structures to determine materials and equipment needs.Locate and mark positions for pipe installations and fixtures using measuring instruments.Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air to detect and locate leaks.Assemble pipe sections, tubing, and fittings using various tools and methods.Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances, sinks, and toilets.Direct helpers in pipe cutting, preassembly, and installation of plumbing systems.Install underground storm, sanitary, or water piping systems.Maintain or repair plumbing systems by replacing defective parts or clearing clogs.Essential SkillsMinimum of 5 years of experience in plumbing (candidates with 3-4 years of experience will be considered for a lower pay rate).Proficiency in working with CPVC, PVC, and installing water lines.Experience with domestic water and sanitary systems.Ability to install, repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures according to specifications or plumbing codes.Proficiency in using basic hand tools.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.Experience with measuring, cutting, threading, and bending pipes.Knowledge of plumbing codes and safety regulations.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with new construction and renovation in large commercial construction.Ability to braze and solder.Experience with PEX, CPVC, cast iron, and Uponor piping systems.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
You will be working on a new construction site at Orlando Health Hospital in Wesley Chapel. Be prepared to work in various weather conditions alongside other contractors. The work schedule is Monday to Friday with four 10-hour shifts and two 8-hour shifts, with potential opportunities for overtime.

This is a Contract position based out of Wesley Chapel, Florida.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
