Job Overview The incumbent assembles, installs, and repairs pipes, fittings and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems, according to specifications and plumbing codes. Responsibilities Essential Duties & Job Functions: Service, maintain, install, and test water, natural gas, sewer distribution mains including fire hydrants and wet, dry, deluge, backflow prevention, and pre-action fire suppression systems. Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Mandatory: High school graduate or equivalent. Current State of Alabama Journeymen or Apprentice License as needed. Backflow Prevention Certification as Required by State Requirement. State of Alabama Gas Fitters License as Required by State Requirement. State of Alabama Transportation of Natural and Other Gas by Pipeline-Minimum Safety Standard. Swimming Pool Operators License as Required by State Requirements.
