Join our team as a Plumbing Engineer where you will be responsible for reviewing fire protection, fire alarm, and plumbing design documents for tenant projects. Your role will also involve conducting design audits and processing projects to ensure compliance with applicable building codes and technical standards. Key responsibilities include downloading and previewing construction documents, hydraulic calculations, specifications, and reports. You will coordinate review comments from technical disciplines and prepare memoranda for transmitting comments to line departments. Part of your role involves attending meetings with tenant Architect/Engineers to discuss review comments and resolve issues. You will also be responsible for the layout of plumbing and fire protection systems as well as equipment layout and sizing.

Bachelor’s degree in engineeringMinimum of 3/5 years of diverse experience in fire protection and plumbing systems designExperience designing Plumbing & Fire Protection systems on various project typeKnowledge of applicable construction codes and reference standards in New York City, New York State, and State of New JerseyProper understanding of engineering disciplines related to building design and construction of transportation and related facilitiesE.I.T or F.EKnowledge of International Mechanical Code, Plumbing Code and Fire CodeExperience in ASME B31.1 Power Piping/ ASME B3.9 Building Services Piping DesignsExperience in NFPA 13, Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler SystemsJob Description-Under the supervision of the Design Standards Unit Manager and the Assistant Manager
