We are currently seeking a Plumbing Engineering Specialist to join our New York, NY team.

Summary:

The Plumbing Engineering Specialist is an integral part of the design team taking projects from conceptual design to completion in collaboration with the team and clients. The primary role will be project design within the plumbing & fire protection discipline in coordination within the project team. 

Primary Responsibilities:

Ensures that company technical policies and procedures are practiced during the execution of projects for clients. Assists in developing plumbing and fire protection design approaches and concepts on assigned projects and requests assistance from the senior technical staff when needed. Delegation of work tasks and collaboration with subordinate staff, monitor and review delegated work for accuracy Performs specific engineering studies and design analysis. Reviews shop drawings, record changes and communicates directly with suppliers, contractors and client representatives as required. Performs on-site inspections during construction and coordinates design requirements with contractors and equipment suppliers. Uses design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents. Actively participates in professional organizations and/or client groups where the technical reputation and image of the firm may be enhanced. When directed by the President, Project Manager or Chief Engineer assumes other duties.

Minimum Requirements:

A minimum of 8 years of plumbing and fire protection engineering experience. Healthcare project experience is preferred but not required.  Past experience in design and experience with Revit and AutoCAD.
