Among your duties as PM Line Cook SO-07, the cook is responsible for:
The execution and completion of the daily prep listFabricate proteins, cut vegetables, and check pars of items against the prep listExecute and create unique dishes crafted in line with the identity of Taverna Banfi, The Regent Lounge and In Room DiningSetting up the production linePreparing items with speed and accuracy to order for serviceMonitoring temperatures of all prepared foods, and record them as requiredProviding functional supervision and training to student cookWorking closely with the front of house to solve problems and make sure the customer is getting a quality experienceSupporting other team members when ableMaintain efficient time management and productivity during slow periods throughout the shiftCleaning the line and store all food after each period of service or when needed or directed to by supervisorFilling out prep lists, closing the shift while adhering to operating standardsMaintaining a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customersReporting to the Sous Chef/ManagerWhat we are looking for in a PM Line Cook SO-07:
We are seeking candidates who have the right combination of education and food & beverage experience.
High School Diploma or equivalent required2-3 years of experience cooking in a restaurant, hotel, or resortUnderstanding of cooking methods and procedures, and knife handling skillsAbility to perform tasks with accuracy, speed, and attention to detailAbility to read and follow cooking directionsAbility to remain calm in a fast-paced environmentMust be organized and self-motivatedMust be able to stand, bend, stretch, and lift, and carry heavy materialsPreferred Qualifications:·A degree from an accredited College or University with a focus in Culinary ArtsWe are a 4-diamond hotel, and our goal is to provide the highest quality experience for our guests at The Statler Hotel.
