40Gundersen Health System has an opening on our Core Lab team for a PM/Night Supervisor. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of lab experience. Previous leadership experience would be an asset.
What You'll Do:
As a Core Lab PM/Night Supervisor you will be directly responsible for overseeing 16 Medical Lab Scientists on the evening and night shifts. While providing active leadership you will also remain close to bench work splitting your time between benchmarking and leadership support. As a supervisor, you will ensure that all regulatory standards are met, including quality control and other performance guidelines to ensure efficient delivery of accurate and timely laboratory testing and results. You will assure certification and continuing education is maintained, and all competencies are up to date. You will also support and assist the lab manager with all initiatives pertaining to excellent customer service and employee engagement while collaborating with management to ensure that resources are prioritized and in place (i.e., staff, equipment, supplies, technology, and processes, etc.) and properly utilized to achieve AOR objectives through the most effective and efficient operations and in conjunction with AOR leadership, make recommendations for the improvement of AOR key processes, leading to elimination of variability in cost and quality.
What's Available:
Fulltime, 80 hours biweekly (1.0 FTE). 50% benchwork and 50% supervisory
10hr evening/night shifts (1p-11:30p & 3p-1:30a) with no required weekends or holidays; 8hr shifts could be considered
Starting pay of $29.89 and up, based on your years of experience, alongside applicable shift differentials
What You'll Need:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field. A copy of the applicant's/employee's diploma and/or transcript as confirmation of the education requirement must be provided at time of hire
ASCP Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Certification is preferred but not required
2 years of previous/current laboratory work experience required. Previous/current supervisory experience is beneficial
Proficiency in laboratory techniques, including blood sampling, specimen collection, processing, and analysis
