Location:
Plant 37 is located in Hanover, PA. The Plant manufactures 2-piece and 3-piece steel cans for the food industry. There are approximately 95 employees at the Hanover location. The Hanover Plant is located on Route 194 in York County and is in close proximity to York, PA, Gettysburg, PA and the Maryland border.
Position Overview:
The PM&R, reporting directly to the Manufacturing Supervisor, will be responsible for maintaining the production line, assisting in set-up, adjustment, or repair to the line. This employee will rebuild parts and equipment as necessary, or other assigned tasks to help ensure the team can maintain a smooth flow of cans thorough the production line. This position is scheduled 5:00pm-5:00am on a yearly rotational schedule.
Duties And Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Supervisor, the PM&R’s responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following:
Demonstrate a safety-first attitude to work effectively in a team environment Responsible for the mechanical performance of automated production machines and equipment that performs one or more functions in the making of high-quality steel cans Make necessary adjustments, repair, and or changes to equipment and machines Direct and assist in the setup of machines and equipment Assist other areas as needed such as new equipment, installations, overhauls, etc. Complete required paperwork and documentation; provide communication to engage appropriate resources as needed Maintain proper housekeeping in all areas of work Train team members as needed Fill in for Manufacturing Supervisor as assigned; lead shift kick off meetings, be a resource to shift members, communicate daily production reports, etc. Fill in for team members in their absence or for coverage purposes Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned
