Job DescriptionPosition Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced PMC Construction Interface Manager to oversee and manage all construction-related interface activities for a prestigious Oil & Gas pipeline construction project in Basra, Iraq. The Construction Interface Manager will act as a primary coordinator between various stakeholders, ensuring alignment, resolving conflicts, and maintaining seamless communication across multiple disciplines during the construction phase. This role demands strong leadership, technical expertise, and a proven track record in managing interfaces within large-scale construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the main point of contact for all construction interface-related activities, ensuring effective coordination between project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.Develop and implement interface management processes and procedures to address construction-related challenges.Ensure alignment between engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to achieve project objectives.Monitor and resolve interface conflicts and issues in a timely and efficient manner to avoid project delays.Conduct regular interface coordination meetings with internal and external stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment.Identify and mitigate risks related to construction interfaces, updating the risk register as necessary.Maintain detailed records of all interface activities, including communications, agreements, and resolutions.Prepare and present progress reports on construction interface management to senior management and stakeholders.Ensure compliance with project specifications, contractual obligations, and HSE standards.Foster a collaborative and proactive approach among multidisciplinary teams to resolve construction-related challenges.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.Experience:12-15 years of experience in construction and interface management, with a focus on Oil & Gas or pipeline construction projects.Proven experience in a PMC environment and working in Iraq or similar regions is highly desirable.Skills:Strong understanding of construction processes, interface management principles, and risk management.Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder coordination.Proficiency in project management and reporting tools.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.Additional Information
