PMO, IB Planning & Execution APAC

Embark on a transformative journey as a PMO, IB Planning & Execution APAC.  At Barclays, we’re more than a bank – we’re a force for progress and help craft innovative solutions and will entail a hybrid role of both Programme Management Officer (PMO) and Portfolio manager activities.  This role is key to ensuring APAC initiatives are being managed, reported and delivered in line with global standards and polices. The ideal PMO is someone who can ensure programme delivery is managed in line with the relevant Policies and Standards, using standard processes and tooling to improve the level and likelihood of successful outcomes. Provide complete, accurate initiative reporting, including programme financials management and analysis for Project/ Programme Managers to manage delivery.  Drive best practice in line with Policies and Standards. Pre-empt risks and challenge efficiency. Support an environment of effective delivery and has a broad range of business and technical skills. Programme resourcing, financials management, analysis, and MI reporting.

To be successful as a PMO, IB Planning & Execution APAC, you should have experience with

Solid understanding of project / programme management methodologies and governance. Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work with and present to senior stakeholders, both locally and globally.Highly proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel with analytical thinking. Experience with project financials tracking, management and analysis.

Some other highly valued skills may include

Previous experience in Project Manager / PMO /Portfolio role. Ability to master and navigate new subject domains and processes quickly. Experience with programme management tools  (e.g. Navigator, Jira, Confluence).Professional qualifications (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, CFA, FRM) . Financial product & business process knowledge.

This role is based in our Pune Office.

Purpose of the role

To support change delivery managers in the delivery of successful projects, while ensuring that project management processes and practices are aligned with controls and governance standards and that projects are aligned with the organisation's strategic objectives. 

Accountabilities

Support to change delivery managers, ensuring their programme is compliant with the Barclays Control Framework, including oversight of controls and governance standards.Creation and implementation of standardised PMO processes and methodologies that are aligned with controls and governance standards and that support the delivery of successful projects.  .Monitoring of project performance, including tracking of project progress, identification of risks assumptions, issues and dependencies, and creation of report on project status to senior management.Support of project documentation, including maintenance of project plans, schedules, and budgets, and ensuring that project documentation is up-to-date and accurate.Facilitation of project governance, including ensuring that projects are aligned with the organisation's strategic objectives, and that project risks assumptions, issues and dependencies are managed effectively.Provision of change management framework training to project managers and other stakeholders, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver successful projects.  .Continuous improvement of project management practices, including identification of areas for improvement and implementation of changes to improve project delivery.
