PMO Analyst

Primary Responsibilities

• Ensures compliance and ongoing tracking and management of projects
• Follows QBE’s Project Management standard processes
• Manage transition change control process and ensure details are accurately recorded in the plan
•Build and maintain effective ongoing working relationships with stakeholder on transition planning assumptions and approval processes
• Supports and coordinates with the Lead and Project Specialists for deliverables, schedules
• Provide assistance through coordinating and collating inputs from the different stakeholders to get necessary sign offs
•Ensures that that all project documentation is updated based on the inputs provided during meetings and via emails.
• Provides administrative support to the project/transition team
• Prepare detailed project plan, governance structure and reporting templates to manage special cross functional projects as needed
• Provide regular updates to project stakeholders and PMO team
•Develop and maintain effective working relationships within the department

Required Education

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience

Preferred Competencies/Skills

Working knowledge of MS Project Online and familiar with administration of the tool
Aggregate information into concise information as input into presentation for project stakeholders and management and translate into further PMO improvements
Effective team player and self-starter with exceptional communication skills to work with on- and offsite teams
Understanding the principles of a software development lifecycle and Project Management
Ability to analyze, map and integrate data from multiple sources to form opinions and recommendations
Demonstrated capability for problem solving, decision making, sound judgment, assertiveness
Ability to work independently and manage work with tight deadlines reliably and efficiently
Pro-active mind-set with best results for customer in mind
Eagerness to learn new tools, demonstrated desire to continuously improve PMO best practices
Understanding of resource management and tracking tools, principles, concepts and best practices
Working knowledge of data management and reporting, demand planning and forecast analysis
Working knowledge of technology to control and safeguard the collection, organization, structure, processing and delivery of data


Preferred Experience

• Preferably with at least 3-4 years of BPO experience
• 3-4 years experience in program/ project management preferred
• Experienced in creating comprehensive project schedules which will identify time frames for key project milestones
1-2+ years of work experience either as project coordinator and/or project manager or as PMO team member with comparable scope


Preferred Knowledge

Knowledge of MS Power BI and Power Apps – ability to create Power BI reports and pro-actively use analytical skills to discover trends in project execution and develop key PMO metrics
Intermediate knowledge of MS Office/ O365 suite (Word, Excel, Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint
Educated to degree level and hold an appropriate qualifications
Good understanding of a formal project management methodology and full project life cycle
Strong knowledge in program governance
Good understanding of end-to-end life cycle delivery
Project management methodology Waterfall and/or Agile
Project Cost Accounting fundamentals
A solid understanding of IT products, services & systems.
Experience of supplier management
Expertise in Project/Program reporting
Experience in Program and Project Management frameworks.
Understanding of change, strategic and business planning processes
