PMO Engineer 3

Job Summary: 

The PMO Engineer 3 leads Material Cost Reduction (MCR) projects to support profitability improvement. Develops Project Schedules & drive successful implementation thru strong cross functional collaboration. Works with regional suppliers to develop & implement Localization plans for new products.

Role and Responsibilities: 

Lead Material Cost Reduction (MCR) projects to support profitability improvement Develop Project Schedules & drive successful implementation thru strong cross functional collaboration Work with regional suppliers to develop & implement Localization plans for new products Review new component Design for Manufacturability (DFM) & apply local best practices Perform Cost Analysis of targeted supplier quotations, GENBA supplier manufacturing facilities, identify cost reduction opportunities & implement improvements Report project schedules & savings achievement versus target to Management

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline or equivalent experience Strong Project Management skills; ability to lead cross functional projects & teams  Strong knowledge of Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE); proven ability to improve products & processes Ability to work with Suppliers; drive improvements with current partner suppliers as well as introduce new strategic suppliers to strengthen competitiveness Ability to coordinate Production trials, Quality evaluation & Changeovers directly with manufacturing facilities Excellent problem solving skills; ability to resolve technical issues cross functionally & achieve schedules Excellent communication skills; ability to report activities & risks across the organization Ability to work from DENSO manufacturing facilities as well as Suppliers (10-20% Travel Required)

Preferred Qualifications:

Engineering degree preferred (Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering) 10+ years of experience in multiple disciplines (Process, Design, Quality, Supply Chain, etc) Automotive Manufacturing Process knowledge including key commodities (Plastic, Metal, Rubber, etc) Experience working on NPI Programs & knowledge of internal as well as customer approval processes Lead Auditor Certification or related manufacturing process auditing experience Engineering Software & Database systems experience (2D/3D Drawings, Microsoft Project/One Pager Pro Schedule management, aPriori Cost Analysis, DOMO reporting, etc)

Salary Range: $97,300- $121,600
