About the position: We are seeking an experienced and strategic PMO Manager to help lead and expand our New Product Development Program Management Office (NPD PMO) in Greene, NY. This role requires a visionary leader with strong business acumen, the ability to influence in a matrix organization, and the skills to foster collaboration between different business units and sister companies. You will be responsible for helping grow the PMO's impact, aligning project initiatives with corporate goals to drive strategic success. * Strategic Leadership - Develop and execute a comprehensive vision for the PMO that aligns with the Company’s long-term goals. Expand the PMO’s influence and effectiveness across the organization by promoting best practices, improving project delivery, and ensuring strategic alignment. * Business Acumen - Understand and interpret the broader business landscape. Ensure that project initiatives are aligned with business objectives and contribute to the Company’s overall success. You will be expected to grasp the big picture, helping leadership make informed decisions. * People Leadership & Team Building - Lead, mentor, and develop team through clear goal setting, as well as timely and meaningful performance evaluations and discussions to foster an environment of open communication. Foster a collaborative culture that encourages innovation, ownership, and professional development within the PMO and among cross-functional teams. * Communication - Leverage your strong business acumen to influence, negotiate, and communicate effectively with senior leadership and stakeholders. Present strategic ideas in a clear, concise manner that drives decision-making at the executive level. * Relationship Management - Act as a bridge between different departments and sister companies. Establish and maintain effective working relationships that promote collaboration and alignment across the organization, ensuring smooth coordination of interdependent projects. * Diplomatic Skill - Handle sensitive situations and conflicting priorities with tact and professionalism. Mediate challenges between teams to achieve project success. * Innovative Problem Solving - Demonstrate a capacity for creative and outside-the-box thinking to collaboratively drive successful outcomes. Apply innovative approaches to streamline processes, optimize resources, and deliver projects more efficiently for emerging technologies related to New Product Development and ensure changes are communicated. * Program Management - Act as business manager for assigned special projects. Monitor and direct the day-to-day operations of assigned projects to meet schedule, budget, and performance parameters. Support integration of the NPD process to ensure appropriate reviews are taking place, technical development is in sync with expectations of the stated objectives, and appropriate stakeholders are engaged. About the schedule: This is a first shift, in-office position with some flexibility in hours. Upon completion of training, you may have the option of an occasional remote schedule. About you: * Strong strategic thinking and the ability to align project initiatives with business goals. * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior management. * Strong political savvy, capable of navigating organizational dynamics and resolving conflicts. * Ability to foster strong relationships across departments and partner companies. * Creative problem-solving abilities, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement. * Strong leadership, interpersonal, and team-building skills. * Ability to gain consensus and deal with sensitive issues in a tactful manner. * Excellent interpersonal skills (staff motivation and interdepartmental coordination), organizational ability, and communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation). Education/Experience: * A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred. * Eight or more years of professional experience, including at least three years of management experience is required. * Proven experience in leading and growing a PMO in a complex organization preferred. * Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred. * Ability to lead and promote a collaborative team environment in a matrix organization is critical to success. About the total compensation package: Salary - $96,509 - $123,538 dependent on qualifications of selected candidate. Relocation - This position may qualify for relocation.
