Summary
Project Management Leader of a team of multiple Project Managers responsible for successful delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary client IT engagements. Responsible for project portfolio governance, ensuring all projects are executed within the framework of approved Statements of Work (SOW) and Project Management Office (PMO) project delivery methodology ensuring predictable project outcomes. Assists Sales and Professional Services teams in scoping, planning, management, stakeholder communications, and delivery of technology solutions on time, within budget and matched to customer specifications. This individual will also perform duties as an individual contributor as the Project Manager for select projects as well as acting as a backup for team members who are out of office.
Primary activities include project management team leadership, internal and external project-related communications, financial management, and customer service. Implements and maintains uniform approach to project and program portfolio management; provides leadership, coordination and mentoring to Project Managers (PMs), Associate PMs, and Project Coordinators; works to continuously enhance team members project management knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques.
This position is an office-based role in Tempe Arizona, M-F, 8:00 – 5:00pm
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Works with PMO team to develop tactical plans and strategic activities across assigned engagements; provides project management expertise, leadership, and oversight for delivery activities executed against SOWs.
Directs, communicates, and exhibits collaborative leadership behaviors that promote effective delivery of services within and among Logicalis, Customer and Third Pary teams.
Conducts and/or oversees project planning, execution, controlling, and closing activities in accordance with Logicalis Project Management Methodology.
Oversees any third-party vendor performance in support of projects delivered by their team holding them accountable to Logicalis standard and support agreement deliverables.
Ensures adoption, adherence and management of the following:
Operations Management: Executes according to established Logicalis policies and procedures; high customer satisfaction standards are maintained; PM resource demand and capacity planning, assisting project inventory management (equipment, supplies, etc.) needed to successfully deliver projects.
Scope Management: Ensures tasks, activities, and deliverables as stated in SOWs are adhered to and provided to customer per contractual terms. Demonstrates effective Change Management acumen when customers request modification to predefined scope.
Financial Management: Ensures project portfolio budgets are maintained and proactively monitored for variance and profitability targets are met or exceeded.
Schedule Management: Ensures team members create and maintain master project plans and schedules; compares actual performance with planned performance, analyzes variances, and takes corrective action as needed to maintain schedule adherence.
Risk/Issue Management: Establishes strategy of continuous risk management across the team project portfolio (identifies and documents known risks) throughout engagement; creates environment where delivery team has visible, measurable, and repeatable processes for managing and mitigating risks.
Communications Management: Consistently and effectively disseminating a broad range of communications to stakeholders, PMO Director, and customers regarding Project(s) status health, progress, issues, risks, financials, etc.; manages client relationships and expectations relative to all engagements within the team portfolio.
Quality Management: Accountable to verify deliverables are acknowledged validated and provided to customer per terms of SOW; and the quality of PMO services and overall work effort performed by the team.
Provides in-depth understanding of project management methodologies, practices, tools, and techniques; mentors and coaches project team members; helps assess training needs and training tools for team members.
Works with Director of PMO and peer teams to continually improve processes and procedures related to project management, providing strategic and tactical advice on program/project planning and execution.
Demonstrates and actively promotes an understanding and commitment to the mission of Logicalis through behaviors consistent with the organization's values.
Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations as well as policies and procedures of Logicalis in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behaviors.
Supports and conducts self in a manner consistent with customer service expectations.
Accountable to the Director of Project Management for the duties and expectations contained herein.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervisor to a team of 5 – 10 project management professionals.

Education/Experience/Technical Requirements/Certifications
Equivalent combination accepted.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technologies, Business/Project Management, or a related field.
Experience / Technical Requirements
Ten or more years of enterprise-level IT Infrastructure Project/Program Management experience, concurrently managing multiple Information Technology projects for multiple external customers, managing teams of 1 to 10 resources within Professional Services environment.
IT infrastructure project management experience in a Professional Services or Consulting enterprise delivering the following technologies (in order of preference): Low-Voltage Cabling/AV/Security deployments, Wireless, Network, Unified Communications, and/or Data Center.
Proficient use of all Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Project, and experience working within Project or Project Portfolio or Workforce Management systems.
Knowledge of the construction industry with experience working with General Contractors and other trades in coordination of Logicalis delivered services. Working knowledge of construction drawings for new builds and tenant improvements (TI).
Certifications
Project Management Professional (PMP) strongly preferred

This role will require a construction hard-hat, safety eyewear, and steel-toed footwear. However, this safety attire will not need to be worn daily, only on occasions when visiting construction sites.
Salary Range: $99,500 - $143,000 with 5% bonus opportunity
