PMO Project Planner - FTC 12 months

The PMO Planning Analyst will report to the PMO Operations Lead, with the primary focus of being responsible for planning, organizing, scheduling and tracking of multiple project and programs plans across Outsourcing GB.

They will use their extensive knowledge and experience to inform, and document planning best practice and implement checks to ensure that project management planning standards are being adhered to.

This is a broad and challenging role and essential that the successful candidate is flexible whilst maintaining a positive outlook.

Outsourcing GB (OGB)

The Outsourcing GB business delivers high quality pension administration services and solutions to clients in GB, Ireland, Germany, and Asia. We provide fully outsourced pension administration services or co-sourced services, where we supply our software for a client to administer their scheme in-house. Outsourcing GB is currently the largest provider of pension administration services to the top 200 private sector funds including several high street banks. 

 

The Role

Project Planning& Governance 

Create, maintain, report and manage detailed project plans across multiple projects running in parallel   Liaise with the Project Manager and other key stakeholders to gather the information necessary to produce and maintain a realistic and reflective project schedule Provide accurate & timely progress against plan reporting in line with the approved reporting cadence throughout the project lifecycle  Identify and highlight critical schedule areas and risks to enable timely management action Identify and highlight schedule areas where there are opportunities for improvement, time and cost savings Mange & track project/programme interdependencies  Analyse third-party plans and incorporate them into the master project plan  Identify potential delays and implement strategies to mitigate risk Facilitate project planning meetings and document meeting minutes and action items Assist project managers in the development of project budgets and resource plans Attend internal & external planning meetings

Best Practice 

Develop processes, and procedures for the implementation of the new project management planning standards Act as the planning standards Subject Matter Expert (SME)   Provide coaching and support to project staff on planning-related tasks Carry out quality checks on plans and schedules to ensure compliance with best practice Identify continuous improvement opportunities and implement improvements to the project schedule templates

The Requirement

Highly experienced in creating and managing project plans for large & complex projects/programs Highly proficient in MS Project Financial services background desirable   Experience of developing & refining planning process and proceduresExperience in coaching other colleagues    Strong analysis and critical thinking skills Comfortable owning discrete deliverables. Experience working with onshore and offshore teams. Very dynamic and able to work in a changing environment. Good knowledge of the software development lifecycle, agile methodologies and how to apply these Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines Ability to perform under pressure
