Responsibilities: 

Provide direction and support to the Plant Leadership Team on building the Plant pillar teams.  Provide leadership direction to, and leverage, PO Specialists, to ensure effective execution of PO plans.Work closely as a partner with PO Practitioner(s) to ensure effective deployment of pillar methodology.  Act as key member of the Plant Steering Team and report to the site Manufacturing Director. Lead PO steering committee meeting at plant level to ensure alignment and progress. Montior plant / business team pillars progress to plan and ensure adjustment plans are in place to return to plan where necessary. Report progress and results to plant and regional leadership. Maintain Business team KPI's. Capture and communicate lessons learned. Follow "One Goodyear way" to ensure standardization across the company. Communicate best practise and Benchmark with other plants. Create and nurture the environment to learn by doing and develop the framework for collaborative learning. Identify pitfalls and roadblocks. Provide Regional Plant Optimization Leader updates on status of implementation & potential issues/roadblocks. Participate in all pillars processes sufficient to have a strong working knowledge of the pillar methodology. Attend Business Team leadership team meetings as required. Ensure effective processes and forums for education and communication of progress exist and are effectively executed. Work closely as a partner with the Practitioners (Goodyear) to provide Tire Manufacturing Process expertise and an overview of the Organizational structure and network to ensure an effective and sustainable deployment of Plant Optimization. Implements Machine capacity vs requirement, machine layout, and manning requirement across multiple facilities and functions Responsible for driving continuous improvement throughout the organization by planning, leading and facilitating project teams

 

Qualifications: 

5 years in leadership role within manufacturing environment. Experience in driving and implementing continuous improvement methodologies and tools. Working knowledge and/or experience in implementing Lean principles in a manufacturing environment.  Demonstrated ability to lead change to achieve business results Analytical and problem solving skills.  Change leadership acumen.  Program management competency.   Demonstrated leadership and team building skills Knowledge of tools used in Lean/CI Ability to lead and direct cross-functional working groups. Very good communication skills, good command of English and local language(s)
