Podcast Lead - 3 days per week - 6 month contract

As part of our strategy to expand the Entertainment Group’s presence across multiple platforms, including video, you will work closely with the Group Editorial Director (GED) to develop ideas for ongoing and upcoming projects within our portfolio. Your creativity and attention to detail will be essential, as you’ll play a key role in the editing process as well.

Key responsibilities include:

Talent Sourcing: Help identify compelling case histories and celebrities for current and new podcast and video-on-demand (vodcast) projects across the Entertainment Group. Video Editing: Edit first drafts of video tapes for the Video Lead, demonstrating an ability to identify strong coverlines that will attract attention from national media. Content Creation: Write press releases for shows as they air, ensuring they are engaging and newsworthy. Budget Management: Work efficiently within project budgets, ensuring all productions stay on track financially. Initiative & Speed: Work independently and at pace, delivering high-quality content under tight deadlines.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment and has a passion for multiplatform content production. You’ll have a direct impact on the success of our projects, helping bring innovative ideas to life across various media.

ABOUT YOU

A journalist who has worked to at least department head level on weekly magazines or papers.  Self-starter who can work with limited supervision, coming up with solutions and creative ideas on all subjects from murder to dating.  Ability to spot a line and write a press release.  Good grasp of potential legals.  Experience in video editing is desirable.
