In this position, you will have the opportunity to:

Oversee day-to-day operations of Point of Care (POC) testing activities to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards. Coordinate the main laboratory quality program, including data management, regulatory compliance, and incident review, to uphold high testing standards. Develop and review policies and procedures for specimen collection, test performance, and quality control to align both POC and main laboratory operations. Participate in the orientation, training, and competency assessment of testing personnel to ensure proficiency in POC testing. Implement and monitor quality control procedures for POC testing, documenting corrective actions and evaluating their effectiveness to maintain test validity. Enroll POC and main laboratory testing in required proficiency testing programs, monitoring results and initiating necessary corrective actions as needed. Establish competency testing requirements for POC users, assessing compliance and maintaining access to testing systems based on documentation. Maintain inventory of POC testing equipment, ensuring proper validation and coordinating service and maintenance tasks for optimal functionality. Perform quality assurance reporting and identify process improvement opportunities, collaborating with patient care departments to enhance operations. Support safety regulations across the main laboratory and POC areas to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with organizational policies.
