THE JOB:

As a Poker Cashier, you will provide exceptional customer service while handling a variety of cash and chip transactions in a fast-paced poker environment. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of exchanges, processing buy-ins and payouts, and assisting guests with any questions regarding game rules or transactions. The role requires keen attention to detail, compliance with gaming regulations, and a commitment to ensuring an enjoyable experience for players.

THE STARTING PAY RATE: $18.00 per hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

Chip Redemption & Sales: Process chip redemptions and sales for patrons, poker runners, and floor personnel.

Transaction Management: Handle transactions with poker players, ensuring accuracy in counting and processing.

Fast-Paced Environment: Utilize good judgment and multitasking skills to meet the demands of a high-energy gaming setting.

System Usage: Operate multiple systems effectively to perform job duties and ensure accurate transactions.

Transaction Security: Secure and document all recordable transactions involving company assets.

Transaction Logs: Accurately complete electronic transaction logs and, when necessary, manual transaction logs.

End-of-Shift Balancing: Balance the bank at the end of each shift.

Patron Assistance: Provide general information and assistance to patrons upon request.

Account Establishment: Establish new patron accounts in compliance with Title 31 guidelines.

Tournament Support: Handle buy-ins and re-buys for patrons in poker tournaments and assist poker room supervision with tracking paid patron participation.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent educational experience.

At least 6 months of Casino Cage Cashier or Casino Poker experience, specifically in casino cage operations.

Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Previous experience in a casino or gaming environment, with a strong understanding of casino cage operations.

Demonstrated ability to provide excellent service to patrons, handle transactions accurately, and resolve issues effectively.

Proficient in using multiple systems and technology platforms related to financial transactions and casino operations.

Exceptional accuracy in handling cash, counting, and recording transactions, with a focus on minimizing errors.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, handle varying shift schedules, and remain flexible with job duties.
