THE JOB:

The Poker Room Dealer is crucial in upholding game integrity and ensuring an enjoyable experience for players by efficiently dealing cards, managing gameplay, enforcing rules impartially, and delivering attentive service. Their effective communication skills and friendly attitude are key components in creating a welcoming atmosphere, enhancing both the social and competitive aspects of the poker room.

STARTING PAY: $6.75 per hour plus tips

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

Conduct and assist with operation of poker gamesGet players checks and help maintain poker table banksEnsure accuracy of table bank, table pot, and table rakeCommunicate verbally with supervisors of unnatural or irregular play and dispute on the gameVerbalize player instructions, rules, or any other information as required in the procedures of the gameDevelop customer relations and facilitate the use of the one club cardMaintains a helpful, courteous, safe, and clean environment of the gamePromote and maintain the highest level of service to all guests while staying alert to their needs and respond  effectively to guest inquiriesNotify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Strong problem solving and listening skillsAble to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal formsAbility to communicate effectively, concisely and logically in a timely manner and at an appropriate level, while  maintaining confidentialityAbility to multi-task and work well in a fast paced, team-oriented environmentExcellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with  particular attention to detailExcellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
