No Duties and Responsibilities The Campus Safety Office of Loyola University Chicago is currently conducting a search for a full-time Armed Campus Police Officer. Reporting to the Watch Commander.
- Maintain a safe environment for the University community, faculty, staff and students.
- Responsibilities of this position would include maintaining a safe environment for the University community by way of patrol (foot and vehicular) of buildings, grounds, parking lots, off campus facilities and city streets within our jurisdiction.
- Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Education and/or Work Experience High school diploma or GED, successful completion of 400+hours of police academy training from a State of IL certified program and one year of related experience. Licenses: State of Illinois certified firearms training; a current F.O.I.D. card and a valid driver’s license. Qualifications - Requires prior police experience in a recognized armed police department.
- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must pass an extensive background investigation, drug screening, and psychological test
