Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer. Responsibilities You will apprehend personnel, both combative and non-combative members of the public. You will perform traffic law enforcement using specialized equipment such as radar, breathalyzer, etc. You will uses computer equipment and specialized web-based law enforcement programs to fuse intelligence and establish, update, query or print individual or vehicle registration and other law enforcement sensitive information. You will serve as a primary investigator of offenses committed by or against military and civilian personnel, or against government and private property located on installations. You will performs a full range of force protection, anti-terrorism and sentry duties at installations or activities with significant operational assets, unrestricted access points, large populations onboard and around the installation/activity. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-6 Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Responds immediately, assesses and reports situation, and conducts mitigating actions and preliminary investigations relating to a full spectrum of critical incidents; 2); Reports and investigates suspicious activities; reporting intelligence threats or possible compromises; performing vehicle and personnel inspections; and 3) Conducts investigative stops, questions, detains, and takes appropriate action to resolve incidents as required. GS-5 Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Responds to and investigates complaints while interpreting and enforcing state and federal laws and regulations; 2) Operates electronic tactical police communications equipment, including mobile data terminals to receive dispatches, respond to calls and complete official reports; and 3) Completes out accident reports as required. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education GS-5: Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree in Police Science or a comparable degree program related to the work of the position. Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
