About the role:
EPO is seeking an experienced candidate who will help govern the FIS Policy Management Governance Program.  This new position on the EPO team is part of a broader effort to enhance and further develop the Risk Management Framework at FIS.  Throughout 2025, the Policy Management Governance Program will undergo numerous changes as to how policies and standards are organized and managed, how business impacts from policy and standard updates are assessed, and how compliance with policy and standard requirements are determined.  This individual will be instrumental in helping FIS transition to this more robust program. 

About the team:

The Enterprise Policy Office (EPO) is part of the Enterprise Risk Office (ERO).  EPO defines and governs processes associated with the management of policies and standards across FIS and oversee Policy and Standard Owner activities including assessing compliance with the Policy Management Policy.  EPO also collaborates with Policy and Standard Owners to adhere to the Policy Management Policy requirements during the policy management lifecycle (i.e. authoring, publication, change management, review/maintenance, and retirement).

What you will be doing:

Maintaining the FIS Policy Management Policy (PMP), developing new and enhancing existing supporting PMP Standards.Establishing new or enhancing existing governance routines that align with the refurbished PMP, which is expected to be published in 1Q 2025. Partnering with Policy and Standard Owners as they update documents as part of the business-as-usual policy management governance lifecycle, while also assisting them as they execute tasks associated with implementation of the refurbished PMP. Managing a centralized EPO Inbox for questions and providing appropriate responses.Participating in policy-related merger integration activities.Maintaining a policy management educational course.Facilitating the policy exception process.Collaborating with the ERO Reporting Team to develop effective policy exception reporting.  


What you will need:

Successful candidates will possess 8-10 years prior experience in the financial services industry leading, executing, or contributing to a Policy Management Governance Program; understanding of key risk management principles including how policies and standards serve as a critical piece of the Risk Management Framework; strong verbal and written communication skills; and the ability to both collaborate and credibly challenge partners across FIS.


Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience. May be required to hold certification or equivalent in area managed.

• Ability to utilize judgment in decision making process and decisions related to job tasks
• Excellent skills in communicating ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise and professional manner including presentations
