Policy Programs Manager, AMET (Africa, Middle East, Turkey)
**Summary:** Meta is looking for a Policy Programs Manager to work with the Policy Programs team in Africa, Middle East and Turkey (AMET). As part of AMET Public Policy organization, the Policy Programs team is responsible for designing and executing regional programs that leverage the extraordinary reach of Meta's technologies to promote positive social and economic outcomes. We are looking for a candidate who can help to develop and launch initiatives that address our policy challenges across the region. You will be responsible for managing digital literacy and integrity programs in Africa, the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey while also overseeing strategic engagements with policy stakeholders across the AMET region in communicating the value of our programmatic investments and understanding our approach to some of our most pressing issues. Programmatic work will span across the AMET region, with a focus on Sub-Saharan Africa. You should have a basic understanding of the policy challenges Meta faces in this region, along with a real interest for community building and demonstrated experience to fearlessly execute. You must be a clear communicator, highly organized, impact-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. This full-time role will be based in Senegal-remote. **Required Skills:** Policy Programs Manager, AMET (Africa, Middle East, Turkey) Responsibilities: 1. Design and develop programs in support of Meta’s priorities and objectives, and identify, manage, and support relevant partners to work with for the development and delivery of programs to ensure quality delivery and reporting of programs. 2. Manage and execute digital literacy and integrity programs across the AMET region, including scaled training programs and thematic campaigns in partnership with local Non-Governmental Organizations, schools, youth centers and more 3. Manage and execute programs that help to build capacity for partners and collaborators across the region to deliver programs and campaigns. 4. Work with internal teams such as safety policy, public affairs, communications, products policy (WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and Artificial Intelligence), and others to integrate and leverage their expertise to deliver programs and campaigns across AMET. 5. Serve as the programs' team point of contact for integrity, youth and wellbeing, Fraud and Scams programs 6. Help to develop annual strategies for each pillar, designed to ensure the safe and responsible use of Meta's technologies. This will also include internal plan socialization and reporting, as well as budget management **Minimum Qualifications:** Minimum Qualifications: 7. 6+ years of experience in communications, public policy, or program management. 8. Experience managing multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously and working under your own initiative in a fast-paced environment. 9. Proficiency in English and French at a professional working level is required. 10. Demonstrated experience to think, plan, and execute resourcefully and creatively with high attention to detail. 11. Being well organised and structured in planning and execution 12. Integrity, interest for technology and its integration in society, sound judgment, and demonstrated experience to think critically. 13. Experience working collaboratively with different teams or organizations 14. Experience working with local and international partners 15. Experience in developing and designing strategies across multiple projects and domains 16. Demonstrated experience in communicating complex information clearly and concisely. 17. Available for regular business trips, meetings, and other work-related events in the region **Preferred Qualifications:** Preferred Qualifications: 18.
