Policy Services Specialist

Reports to
Policy Services Manager


Primary Purpose
The Policy Services Specialist will be providing support in several areas throughout the Policy Services Department. This position will be responsible for handling various uploads and mass processes in the policy system related to endorsements and issuance. This position will also be assisting with answering policy related technical questions from other internal departments and insureds.


This role requires excellent attention to detail and verbal and written communication skills.


Essential Functions

Assist with answering technical questions from internal staff and insureds.Prepare and process various uploads into the policy system. This includes rating factors, experience mods, policy payroll and PEO policies.Pull experience modification rating data from NCCI/Independent Bureaus and update the policy system as needed.Enter and process new and renewal quote information. This includes uploads of rating values and payrolls, running the mass quote process and generating reports for Underwriting.Assist with mass policy issuance process at bind/renewal. This includes uploads of rating values and payrolls, running mass processes in the policy system and generating validation reports to ensure all policies are being issued correctly.Monitor department mailbox and assist with policy endorsement as needed.Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

Required Education and Experience

Prior experience in a professional office setting (minimum of 5 years)Substantial experience in Workers Compensation insurance requiredKnowledge of various Workers’ Compensation policies and structureTechnical experience and proficiency with NCCI and Independent rating bureaus preferredPEO experience preferred

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copy/scan machines.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., however additional hours may be required based on business needs.
