Polk Internship Program (Summer 2025)

Polk Mechanical is a specialty mechanical sub-contractor that focuses on Pipefitting, Plumbing, HVAC, Sheet Metal, and Ductwork – bringing to life all the projects we work on across Commercial & Industrial sectors. Polk Nation is the collective of our people, customers, and community – all geared to DOMINATE, ELEVATE, and WIN in all that we do.

The Polk Internship Program (Summer 2025) is an opportunity for students to EXPLORE, EXPERIENCE, and ENGAGE with Polk Nation through a paid summer work experience. The Polk Internship Program is an experience driven by a guided blend of on-site Job Experience, Self+Social Growth, and Formal Training opportunities. Interns at Polk will finish the program armed with experience, exposure, and insight into what it takes to be successful within the mechanical construction industry.

Listed below is a sneak-peak into some of the components that will make up the journey that awaits you!

Team Building Activities: making sure your journey both starts AND ends with a bang - these fun outings are opportunities to bond and create memories with both your immediate teammates and fellow interns. On-the-Job Workbook: the i3 Workbook is a roadmap specifically designed for you! It is a manual that encompasses all of the tasks, concepts, and qualities that produce successful Assistant Project Managers. Putting the effort into completing this will equip you with everything needed to be successful in your future endeavors. Field Trips: whether it's job-site visits, a vendor tour, or an industry event - there will be plenty of opportunities to explore first-hand! Intern Roundtable Discussions: regularly scheduled Intern Roundtable Discussions will allow you to share your experiences and feedback to both fellow interns and program coordinators; with the goal of providing you the best experience possible. Professional Development Sessions: various formal training opportunities will give you the opportunities to build up your business acumen, all the while helping you learn about how you work and interact with others.
