Position Summary
The Polysomnographic Technician is responsible for performing comprehensive Polysomnographic testing and analysis, and associated interventions under the general oversight of a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) and/or the medical director (M.D., D.O., or PhD) or designee. A Polysomnographic Technician can provide oversight of a Polysomnographic Trainee. This is a technical position functioning independently with limited supervision. Work situations require extensive knowledge and the application of advanced expertise in the field of sleep disorders, and sound clinical judgments, actions, and decision making regarding unusual patient behavior, i.e. seizure activity, life threatening cardiac and respiratory abnormalities. Internal contacts are basically within the work group but may include patient care staff and management throughout the Medical Center. Boarded by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT)Successful completion of an accredited (CAAHEP preferred) educational program leading to an associate degree with emphasis in polysomnographyOR successful completion of a polysomnography program of no less than one year duration associated with a state licensed and/or nationally accredited (CAAHEP preferred) educational facilityOR successful completion of an American Academy of Sleep Medicine A-STEP accredited educational program leading to a certificate in polysomnographyOR minimum six months work experience as a Polysomnographic TraineeMinimum one (1) year polysomnographic technology experience (preferred)CPR requiredOur Values

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $34.91 - $55.58 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
