Polysomnographic Technologist
Position Summary:  Working under the supervision of a polysomnographic technologist, performs overnight patient testing, scoring, and BIPAP/CPAP administration procedures.  Job Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Reviews the patient's history and verifies the medical order. Identifies recording artifact and corrects problems with recording. Assists with scoring and analyzing sleep studies. Performs therapeutic treatments and interventions under supervision. Required: • Must be enrolled in or have completed training in polysomnography in a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or a Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) program with the polysomnography option. OR must be enrolled in or have completed the A-STEP Online Self Study Modules.  • Must obtain a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT), Registered Sleep Technologist (RST), or Sleep Disorders Specialist (SDS) credential within six months of hire through one of the following: o American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM) o National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) o Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) o Another organization that offers an equivalent examination accepted by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM).  • Once registered, must maintain RPSGT, RST, SDS credentials.  • BLS certification OR registered respiratory therapist and an active state respiratory therapist license with Sleep Disorders Specialty (RRT-SDS, CRT-SDS) and maintain license/registration.            Equal Opportunity Employer of Minorities/Females/Disabled/Veterans       Additional Information Schedule: Full-time Requisition ID: 24007312 Daily Work Times: Varies Hours Per Pay Period: 64 On Call: No Weekends: No
