Department Details

In order to be qualified for this job you have to have at least started the ASTEP Program. This job allows you to work in the sleep department before you are registered to be able obtain your clinical hours needed to be able to sit for the RPSGT Board Exam. You will be over seen be a registered Poly Tech in the department who will handle signing and verifying all your work.

This position is part time 48 hours a pay period and you can pick the days you work. We run 7 days a week, and are flexible with the schedule and what works best for you!

Will work at our new Sanford Sleep Disorder Center - 1809 E Century Ave Bismarck, ND 58503.

Summary

Under supervision of polysomnographic technologist, performs quality diagnostic polysomnographic (PSG), as well as titration, multiple sleep latency (MSLT), and Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT). Records and provides relevant and accurate data to physicians for diagnostic use in the treatment of patients with sleep/wake disorders.

Job Description

Under supervision, responsible for performing either Sleep Study Procedures or Neurological Testing for all patient populations. Must be able to take direction to understand the testing equipment in detail, including its structure, function, indications for use, physiological effect upon the patient, and basic maintenance/troubleshooting procedures. Ability to apply principles of anatomy and physiology, normal and abnormal, related to procedure performed. Monitors and documents appropriately in medical record per facility guidelines. Ability to work with all age groups and those with growth and developmental needs of unique client populations. Performs other department specific duties as required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED plus six months of direct patient care experience or one year of postsecondary education. OR Current enrollment in an accredited educational program leading to an associate degree with an emphasis in sleep technology.
