Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Pool Attendant to join our team at Red Ledges. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a welcoming and enjoyable environment for our members at the pool areas. Your primary duties will include greeting and checking in members, taking, and delivering food orders, maintaining cleanliness, enforcing daily pool area rules and procedures, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet Members and guests with a warm and friendly attitude upon arrival and properly check them in on computer.

Be knowledgeable and informative about rules and operation procedures for both pools completing checklist for opening, closing, and daily procedures.

Ensure the pool area is clean, organized, and well-maintained, including regular cleaning of poolside furniture and surfaces. Clean the deck and cabanas of used towels, trash, and finished food trays. Sweep and/or hose down areas as needed.

Wash, fold, stock, and distribute towels ensuring that members have access to fresh towels throughout the day.

Take food and beverage orders from members and deliver them promptly and accurately from the kitchen.

Work kitchen/Bistro as assigned keeping all areas clean, orderly, well stocked of supplies, and working in connection with the cooking staff.

Monitor the pool area for safety, cleanliness, and member needs, responding promptly to any requests or concerns.

Maintain a positive, attentive and helpful demeanor at all times, going out of your way to assist members and enhance their experience. No use of personal cell phones will be allowed in any public area.

Adhere to all safety rules and health regulations to ensure a safe environment for our members and staff. This includes the Village Pool slide and playground, hot tubs, and warming pool. Enforce pool bathroom breaks for children under 10 years old every two hours.

Knowledge of and ability to test pool chemicals daily at Clubhouse pool.

Assist with special events and pool activities as required.

Frequent cleaning of locker rooms and restocking of towels and supplies.

Assist in trash collection around pool deck and kitchen.

Take direction from Pool Managers/Supervisors

Have reliable and prompt attendance for all scheduled work periods.

Perform other duties as required.


Minimum Qualifications for the Pool Attendants:

Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a hospitality or recreational setting is helpful.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with members and team members.

Must be attentive to details and able to multitask in a sometimes fast-paced environment. Have self-initiative in finding tasks to do and keeping busy.

A positive attitude and a willingness to go the extra mile for members.



Other Qualifications:

Food handlers permit

Sips and tips (21 and over)

CPR and First Aid Certification


Working Conditions:

This position requires working outdoors in a pool environment in various weather conditions. Flexibility in scheduling is necessary including the ability to work weekends and holidays.

Must be able to lift and carry items up to 30 pounds.
