Pool Supervisor 

Montage Kapalua Bay is currently recruiting for a Pool Supervisor to join our team: Set beachfront atop picturesque Kapalua Bay, this 24 acre-resort is the ideal destination from which to enjoy all of Maui. SUMMARY  

The Pool Supervisor is responsible for daily supervision of the day to day functions of the Recreation Department, Sunset Patio, and Hana Hou Bar. In addition, the Supervisor should provide excellent customer service, assist in other food & beverage outlets and actively contribute to the department requirements and standards. Interact with guests to ensure a positive guest experience. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

Assisting the Department Manager in the development, implementation and maintenance of Montage quality service standards 

Ensuring food and beverages are being served in a professional and timely manner 

Monitoring set up and maintenance of department to ensure all side work is complete 

Interacting with guests to ensure a positive guest experience; attending daily pre-meal meetings 

Conducting ongoing service training of department associates and assisting in the completion of daily shift reports 

QUALIFICATIONS 

Minimum of two years’ experience in customer service. 

Minimum of two years’ experience in Food and Beverage. 

Excellent telephone etiquette. 

Exceptional guest recovery skills. 

Enjoy interacting with people in a fast paced environment. 

Excellent organizational and time management skills. 

Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. 

Must possess a positive attitude. 

Must be willing to participate in a learning environment. 

Must integrate company values throughout all interactions. 

Must be able to quickly adapt to effectively using new software products. 

Must be dependable and available to work within the resort on weekends, nights and/or holidays based on business demands. 

PREFERRED 

College Degree preferred. 

Minimum of two-year experience in a luxury hotel preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS  

Position requires walking and standing most of the working day; must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 6 hours in length.  Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill tasks. Requires manual dexterity, grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, and climbing. 

The pay scale* for Pool Supervisor is $31.29.

*The pay scale is the base salary or hourly wage range, exclusive of incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, gratuities, and the like, that Montage reasonably expects to pay for the position.
