What you will do:

 

Troubleshoot, repair, modify, install, operate and perform routine, preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical, electronic, pneumatic, digital, mechanical devices and control systems Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, motors, and control equipment as needed Perform electrical PM’s on both single and three phase equipment on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual basis Maintain and update electrical prints when changes are made as well as maintain an activity log of completed electrical work Operate equipment in the loading/unloading of barges, vessels, rail cars, and trucks Identify and maintain a log of safety equipment testing dates for high voltage safety apparel and electrical safety tools Work safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by following Nutrien, OSHA, MSHA and MARSEC guidelines Conduct periodic inspections, maintain and operate equipment systems in a safe and environmentally responsible manner Use proper Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, face shield and flash suits Participate in the Nutrien permitting process by properly completing all necessary permits, such as Lockout/Tagout, Hot Work, Confined Space and Safe Work Operate the loading/unloading equipment at the facility: Bucket wheel Drag reclaimer Ship loader Ensure consumable supplies are used in the most cost-effective manner during repair activities Perform housekeeping duties of an assigned area by cleaning area prior to job completion, turning in completed paperwork indicating area is clean Determine the tools necessary to complete daily tasks, follow up on job package and review changes with supervisor Conduct daily inspections of mobile equipment by using the mobile equipment checklist before using the equipment Update job packages by documenting any changes to the job package and reviewing with supervisor

 

What you will bring:

 

The National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) testing is required for all hourly applicants of Nutrien. Applicants must complete this test and meet a minimum of 5 in Workplace Documents, 5 on Applied Mathematics and 4 on Graphic Literacy to be considered eligible for employment with Nutrien. ~2 years’ experience (for internal candidates) Must be able to achieve the highest grade level (Grade 13) for Instrument Mechanic or Electrician Must successfully complete all formal training in both the instrument and electrical disciplinesMust attend and successfully complete any additional specialized training either on or off the plant site as is necessary for the incumbent’s current area of assignment. Such training may include, but is not limited to the following: Programmable Logic Controllers Broadband Operation and Maintenance Radiation Safety Variable Frequency Controllers Vendor Specific Distributive Control Systems HVAC Operation and Maintenance Supervisory Skills Training (SST) Instrument Society of America Curriculum National Electrical Code Possess the initiative to complete the Craft and Progression Plan training by testing for each module in the allotted time frame to ensure steady progression is achieved from Level 8 to Level 13 High School diploma or equivalent is prefferred Proven experience as an Electrician Relevant vocational training and/or successful completion of apprenticeship as an Electrician Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems Ability to use electrical and hand tools (i.e., wire strippers, voltmeter, etc.) and electrical drawings and blue prints Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations/guidelines Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

 

 

Compensation & Benefits:

 

Starting rate $30.53 - 46.58 per hour (plus available overtime).


Nutrien offers a skills-based pay compensation program. Hourly rates can progresses based on On-Job-Training, formal learning, and observation of new skills. Hourly rates can progress from starting rate of $29.50 to $45.00 per hour over a specified time period.
