We are seeking a reliable and motivated Portable Toilet Technician to join our team. This hands-on role involves maintaining and repairing portable washrooms, washroom trailers, and related equipment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of providing excellent service to our customers. This position requires flexibility to work weekends and participate in an on-call rotation.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on portable toilets, washroom trailers, and other associated equipment to ensure optimal functionality.

Organization and Inventory: Maintain a clean and well-organized portable toilet bay and maintenance shop. Conduct regular stock checks and order parts and materials as needed.

Cleaning and Sanitization: Clean and sanitize portable toilets, trailers, and other facilities to meet company and industry standards for hygiene and safety.

Route Services: Drive service routes to deliver, pick up, and maintain portable toilets and trailers at client sites. Ensure timely and efficient service completion.

Customer Interaction: Provide friendly, professional customer service during deliveries and maintenance visits.

On-Call Duties: Participate in the on-call rotation, responding to emergencies and customer needs outside of regular working hours.

Weekend Availability: Be willing and available to work on weekends as part of the service schedule.

Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

Valid Ontario “G” driver’s license with a clean driving record

Ability to operate and maintain basic tools and equipment.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment and materials (up to 80 lbs) and work outdoors in varying conditions.

Basic mechanical aptitude or experience in maintenance roles preferred.

Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to safety and cleanliness.

Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and on-call shifts.
