The Porter independently cleans restrooms, offices, break rooms, locker rooms,  kitchenettes, pantries, showers, stairwells, corridors, elevators, and other work areas.  Duties involve a combination of the following:  sweeping, mopping floors, removing trash and other materials for recycling, dusting furniture and fixtures, polishing metal fixtures or trimmings, replenishing restroom supplies. Service shall be provided on a 24/7 basis.

 

Cleaning offices, corridors, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, elevators, break room, library, closets, kitchenette, stairways, locker rooms, storage rooms, and other work areas. Informs supervisor of problems, concerns, and safety issues. Places wet floor signs out and umbrella bags as needed. Sweeping, floors using brooms, and mops. Cleaning rugs, carpets, furniture using a vacuum. Dusting furniture and equipment. Polishing brass. Dusting woodwork. Emptying wastebaskets. Transporting trash to disposal area and recycling to designated areas. Replenishing restroom supplies. Spot cleaning carpet. Responds to phone calls from designated government points of contact. Responsible for carts for restrooms and trash and recycling. Responds to emergency phone calls in their assigned building; this function may extend to other buildings associated with this contract. Responsible for producing quality work. Responsible for appropriate conduct and demeanor as dictated by Didlake policy. Responsible for following safety standards and guidelines in the proper use of the equipment. . Completes and maintains all Didlake required training.
