ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

• Maintain working areas, tool, and equipment storage areas in a clean and orderly manner.

• Operate and efficiently use heavy equipment and machinery such as but not limited to power lifts, power washers and sweepers, scrubbers, and sprayers 

• Clean and sweep paper and debris off the floor, garage, and property exterior

• Clean and refresh exterior ashtrays and ash urns

• Maintain and clean the garage area as assigned

• Performs cleaning procedures when blood borne pathogens are involved

• Clean and maintain areas as assigned by Supervisor or Manager

• Remove trash as assigned 

• Remove or transport items from one area to another as assigned

• Set up functions and special events around the Casino as specified by supervisor, which may include but is not limited to moving tables and chairs

• Perform other job related and compatible duties as assigned

• Must adhere to regulatory, department and company policies

• Perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner

Physical, Mental & Environmental Demands

• Must be able to lift 75lbs or more

• Must be able to manage several tasks during shift

• Must be able to tolerate secondary smoke

• Must be able to work around crowded areas

• Able to stoop, bend, reach and pull around casino & restroom areas.

• Able to tolerate cleaning chemicals without developing an allergic reaction

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Capacity to work independently with minimal direction.

• Knowledge of the hotel/casino industry a plus.

• Must have valid driver’s license and acceptable driving history.

• Must be able to acquire and maintain appropriate gaming license.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS 

Ability to read and interpret documents In English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS 

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.  Must be able to count money and gaming chips and make a change efficiently and accurately. Possess the ability to operate an adding machine and have basic computer skills.

REASONING ABILITY 

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Team members must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.

The team member must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
