TOGETHER WE WIN® **THE OPPORTUNITY** The Portfolio Analyst role is responsible for monitoring the performance of borrowers in the Venture Bank, interacting with clients, identifying deviations from expected performance, and raising credit concerns to the Portfolio Management team. The Portfolio Analyst is part of a Venture Banking business unit (Technology, Life Sciences or Fund Finance) and supports borrower relationships managed by that unit. The Portfolio Analyst should strive to understand the client’s operating performance and needs, work to build strong relationships internally and externally, positively impact the borrower’s experience with the Venture Bank and generally support the bank’s credit risk management efforts. Performs all duties in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the Company operates. **HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE** + Enter borrower data into systems and conduct financial analysis of credit and collateral. + Validate borrower compliance based on the Loan & Security Agreement and monitor compliance status. + Perform financial, operational, valuation, and transactional analyses. + Assist in underwriting modifications or renewals for borrowers and help prepare deals for credit committee. + Complete borrower risk assessments and assist in ensuring regulatory compliance. + Process loan transactions promptly, professionally and accurately and respond to borrower requests. + Maintain data integrity in internal bank systems related to financials or other key information. + Produce internal deliverables. + Collaborate with management teams of portfolio companies or investors to understand the borrower’s performance and their financial and banking needs. + As assigned, travel to client sites and perform other duties. + Treat people with respect; keep commitments; inspire the trust of others; work ethically and with integrity; uphold organizational values; accept responsibility for own actions. + Demonstrates knowledge of and adherence to EEO policy; shows respect and sensitivity for cultural differences; educates others on the value of diversity; promotes working environment free of harassment of any type; builds a diverse workforce and supports affirmative action. + Follows policies and procedures; completes tasks correctly and on time; supports the company’s goals and values. + Performs the position safely, without endangering the health or safety to themselves or others and will be expected to report potentially unsafe conditions.
