Portfolio Analyst Manager

The Measurement Solutions IT Organization is hiring a Portfolio Analyst Manager.  This role will have global responsibility of ensuring Measurement Solutions has processes in place to manage and support all business and IT business systems requests which come into the enhancement and project funnels for triage, planning, funding, and execution.  This role will also be responsible for leading a team of portfolio analysts who serve all Measurement Solutions world areas.  This role will work closely with our global leaders, Emerson enterprise teams and will report directly to the Measurement Solutions IT Director of Global Business Systems & Program Management.
 

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Lead a team of portfolio analysts who will accomplish tasks described in this job description – team members may reside in other world areas. Develop and maintain processes to manage and support all business and IT business systems requests which come into the enhancement and project funnels for triage, planning, funding, and execution. Work with global leaders from Measurement Solutions and Emerson to ensure we are planning work at a portfolio level independent of project size and scope. Develop and maintain strong understanding of the Emerson PMO Toolbox to ensure we are effectively planning and communicating with Emerson teams. Responsible for creating, communicating, and actively managing portfolio management critical metrics to summarize demand of business systems requests. Develop and manage resource planning process for all planned projects. Ensure adoption, use and support of all project planning processes. Train the Measurement Solutions global organization to ensure adoption of both Measurement Solutions and Emerson portfolio management processes. Facilitate management of activities within the Measurement Solutions IT organization where foundational project management principles are required to drive success and quality of a given initiative. Perform project management duties as required – related to planning, financials and activities that come with project execution.   Who You Are:   You analyze multiple and diverse sources of information to define problems accurately before moving to solutions. You create teamwork allowing others across the organization to achieve shared objectives. You remain energized and effective when faced with ambiguity and uncertainty   For This Role, You Will Need: Conversant in program and project management techniques, with strong internal and external partner management. Experience creating portfolio management processes for a global organization. Knowledge of business processes and strong analytical skills with ability to assimilate information and communicate complex requirements and issues.  Creating and delivering presentations throughout all levels of an organization Develop Appropriation Requests and creation of benefit statements. Understand and develop MS project plans and other program management tools. Understanding of leading an organization through project cutover tasks. Understand concept of a team and working with others. Cross Organizational Management on a global level. Ability to work global hours when required. Travel – 5 to 10% as required. 6-8 years of proven experience related to portfolio and project management execution. Demonstrated skill of planning, managing, and implementing multiple global projects  Strong understanding of program or project management principles/techniques.
  Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: Bachelor/master’s degree or equivalent experience in information technology.
