Job Description Summary:
Provide credit analysis support to Commercial Lending Department, and more specifically to Underwriters and Relationship Managers, while maintaining compliance with Bank policies, procedures and federal regulations. Specifically, the duties and responsibilities of this position will include obtaining and reviewing reports and financial information to assist department management, as well as Underwriters and Relationship Managers, to ascertain the financial condition of current and prospective Borrowers. Also, this position will maintain the integrity of the covenant tracking system through various processes and audits. This position may also spread financial statements as well as underwrite loan modifications and small commercial loan requests or renewals.Job Details:
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
Coordinate renewals for assigned credits.Review ABL BBC’sSpread financial statements and tax returns using department systems and toolsProvide preflight support, as neededGather formation documents and compliance documentsPull or coordinate third party reports to include credit reports, background checks, preliminary title, environmental, appraisals, collateral exams, UCC searches and flood determinations/notificationReview third party reports and escalate exceptions for further reviewAssist with CRE Addendum, as neededLoan document review prior to signingGather insurance certificates in coordination with closer or loan operations.Coordinates booking documents and assists in gathering missing informationPerform site visitsAct as central point for logging in all financial statement submissions and financial covenant updates, as well as creating covenant maturity reports for Management and Relationship Officers/UnderwritersEnsures timely covenant testing; escalate as defined in department procedures for those not in compliance.Involved in reviewing complex advance requests for multi disbursement loans, equipment lines, BBC advances, etc.Assist with preparation of watch list credit comments.Assist with Problem Loan Reports for adverse rated credits, as necessary.Coordinates post-closing work (tickler setup, merging credit quest records, etc.)Coordinate renewals for regional creditsPerform site visits, as necessaryMonthly review of covenant compliance testing/tickler complianceAssists Relationship Managers/Underwriters with financial statement request letters and other correspondence, including standard default letters for covenant violationsOther duties and special projects as assigned by ManagementQUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business related field or equivalent education preferredAbility to read and interpret a variety of financial statements requiredAbility to spread financial statements using Credit QuestMinimum of 2 years’ experience in commercial credit underwriting or related experienceStrong written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, spelling, grammatical and proofreading abilitiesProficiency with Microsoft office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)Must possess a positive attitude, good judgment, and the ability to accept responsibility and handle confidential informationAbility to meet deadlines and work under pressureWillingness to assume additional responsibilities/duties/projects as they ariseMENTAL AND PHYSICAL CONSIDERATIONS:
