Contribute to the success of Merck KGaA in achieving its mission, vision, values, and strategic objectives. As the IT-IO Portfolio Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting the planning, organization, training, implementation, and leadership necessary for operational excellence within the organization.

 

Overall Responsibilities:

Manage the IT-IO Global Core project portfolio, 21M EUR, working with IT-IO Leaders to establish forecasts, tracking commitments and actuals to ensure delivery of our targets.

Manage the operating and core budgets, and strategic vendor relationships in collaboration with the Vendor Management Office.

Serve as the primary contact for Project Managers, IT Cost Controllers, and Finance to report KPIs and ensure alignment with the run cost and project forecasts.

Oversee the full lifecycle of “plan-procure-pay” processes across global cost centers and ERP systems.

Identify risks to portfolio health and assess spend forecasts to drive informed investment decisions.

Provide guidance for onboarding project managers and implement process improvements across IT cost centers.

Maintain accurate documentation of portfolio activities and foster a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.

Proven experience in portfolio management, project management, or financial analysis.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a global team environment.

Proficiency in project management tools and ERP systems.

Familiarity with budgeting and forecasting processes.
