About the Role

• To directly manage or assist Head of Fixed Income on AIMHK Money Market fund by involving in fund set-up, forming and recommending investment strategies, managing fund performance, credit quality and any specific requirements plus conducting order placements
• To ensure that cash become productive assets by placing in short term money market securities, which can earn the highest possible interest rates for other fixed income funds / portfolios

Roles and Responsibilities:

Portfolio Management:

Keep updated knowledge on global and local macroeconomic environment plus local regulatory framework to formulate investment strategies and translate them into fund performanceWork with internal and external counterparties on deal sourcing to meet investment requirements and participate in (1) 1-on-1 issuer’s meetings, (ii) regular market update / interest rate meetings, (iii) relative value discussions of new and secondary market issuesIdentify appropriate investment opportunities that meet client’s / fund’s objectivesMaintain good relationships with banks and keep update information on potential deals, market rates views and fund flowsDevelop and maintain portfolio-wide analytics to track sectoral and name risk to ensure minimal impairmentsPerform regular fund reviews and portfolio manager calls to (a) ensure compliance with fund mandates and (b) determine that investment risks are being managed appropriately. The review should also be performed any time when critical changes occur which may affect funds.Analyze past and present of peers’ fund performancesFocus on continuous improvement in monitoring systems and maintain up-to-date, comprehensive and well-organized data for analysisRegularly review and update relevant credit and risk management procedures to be in line with the regulatory requirement and internal policyAssist on ad-hoc projects relating to fixed income as assigned from time to time

Communications & Collaboration:

Engage with internal analysts / traders and build confident relationships based on trust and reliability with internal and external stakeholdersDevelop and strengthen backup arrangement to enhance effective fund management

Minimum Job Requirements:

Deep understanding in responsible money market securities and home market dynamicsPrevious HKD money market fund experienceProficiency in portfolio analytical tools e.g. Bloomberg PORT.At least 8 years of fund management experience with a sound knowledge of total return strategies and credits on responsible marketsAbility to work independently, with oversight and handle multiple demandsStrong aptitude in portfolio analysis and strong communication skillsA Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related fieldsProfessional qualification such as ACCA, CFA, FRM preferredCertificate in ESG Investing preferredGood communication skill and fluent in EnglishStrong analytical and decision-making skillsPossession of relevant SFC license required
