**Job Description Summary**
The Portfolio Manager will join a collaborative investment team responsible for the management of +$45 billion of insurance company balance sheets, with a particular emphasis on the company's portfolio of alternative investments. This position offers the opportunity to serve as a generalist across a variety of asset classes, structures, and investment strategies. The Portfolio Manager will be a key member of the ERAC investments team, contributing to the strategic direction and performance of the portfolio.
**Job Description**
**Roles and Responsibilities**
+ Lead due diligence, financial analysis, and modeling for new investments in funds, co-investments, and direct investments.
+ Monitor investment performance, conduct valuation analysis, and actively oversee the existing portfolio.
+ Prepare written proposals for new and existing investments.
+ Lead/co-lead relationships with various managers across multiple different asset classes.
+ Assist in the development of long-term asset allocation plans as they relate to sub-asset classes within alternative investments.
+ Establish portfolio guidelines, appropriate limits/constraints, commitment pacing, due diligence framework, and performance evaluation metrics.
+ Assist actuarial teams in cash flow forecasting for the alternatives portfolio.
+ Participate in annual meetings, advisory boards, management presentations, and other diligence sessions.
+ Report to the Investment Committee and Board of Directors on portfolio developments and recommended actions.
+ Network with other asset managers and review industry trends to identify and monitor top investment managers/funds.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ A minimum of 7 years of experience working as an analyst or portfolio manager within insurance asset management, with meaningful experience in private/alternative markets.
+ Diverse asset class experience across private credit, private equity, and other alternative investment strategies.
+ Familiarity with insurance company considerations for various investment strategies.
+ Advanced degree (MBA, CFA) preferred.
+ Familiarity with leading manager investment processes, operations, and compliance protocols.
+ A foundation in manager research, selection, and monitoring, and experience with execution.
+ An ability to think critically with solid applied quantitative financial modeling skills.
+ Ability to travel as required for investment due diligence, manager monitoring, and attending industry conferences.

The base pay range for this position is $151,800 to $252,700 The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary. This posting is expected to close on February 10, 2025
