Summary:
The Portfolio Risk Specialist role is an analyst position within the Credit Administration team responsible for providing credit risk reporting & analytics. In collaboration with senior Credit Administration roles, you will be responsible for providing in-depth risk assessment and risk reporting to evaluate credit risk strategy. In this role, you will:
Develop a strong understanding of the portfolio characteristics, demographics, risks, data, and potential threats/opportunities. Maintain professional working relationship with assigned line of business partnersAssist with the preparation of key management reports including the Credit Risk Summary Slides, loss forecast, and ongoing Credit Administration monitoring reporting. In collaboration with senior Credit Administration roles, candidate will build, evaluate, monitor, and mitigate portfolio risk metrics for a consumer portfolio segmentDevelop ad hoc emerging risk assessments to identify potential credit related risks within the portfolio. With the assistance of senior Credit Administration roles, create engaging presentations for management that analyze portfolio credit risks, opportunities, or future state credit objectivesCollaborate with the portfolio line of business and key partners (Segment Risk, Compliance, Legal, etc.) in support and execution of credit risk strategiesDrive innovation and improvement of analytical methods and data management proceduresBasic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Statistics, Business Management, Economics or similar. Masters preferred.2 years experience in Credit Administration, risk management, statistical analysis, or other risk or analytics related area preferableStrong reporting skills utilizing Microsoft Excel and pivot tablesKnowledge of relational database design and fundamentals required including familiarity with SQLUnderstanding of consumer credit loan/line structures, lending practices and common credit metricsAbility to work closely with all levels of staff to provide reliable data, reports, and analysis products upon which informed decisions can be madeExcellent written and verbal communication skillsMust be a critical thinker and able to work independently or within a groupAbility to work with large databases for extraction and conversion into useful business information and analytical purposesConsistently model high levels of professional demeanor and integrity#LI - Hybrid
