Excellent entry level opportunity for a recent college graduate to start their career in Commercial Banking. This Portfolio Support Specialist position is responsible for processing, monitoring, and examining contract information on asset-based leases and loans. Duties include reconciling and adjusting accounts, analyzing contracts, data entry, invoicing and collecting on accounts, investigating and resolving customer inquiries, assisting account managers with resolution of delinquent accounts, collateral reporting, special projects and other related duties as required.​


In this role, you will:

Be responsible for processing, monitoring, and examining client collateral information on asset based loans, including all stages, from the receipt and verification of sales journals, collateral reports, to the resolution of customer problems and questions

Perform routine administrative tasks, posting and reconciling sales, and accounts receivable adjustments, reconciling cash reported to cash received, investigating, and resolving customer inquiries, reviewing accounts receivable aging information, sending verifications to confirm balances, and receiving, processing, and posting advance requests

Regularly receive direction from supervisor and escalate questions and issues to more senior roles within Commercial Valuations functional area

Interact with an immediate Commercial Valuations team on basic information, as well as internal and external customers


Required Qualifications:

6+ months of Commercial Valuations experience , or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

Data entry experience

6+ months of of data analysis experience

Prior collections, customer service and/or retail banking experience

Bachelor's degree in either Finance, Accounting or Economics

Basic knowledge and understanding of accounting

Basic Microsoft Office skills

Good analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

6+ months of Commercial Valuations experience

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Strong MS Office skills with a particular emphasis on MS Excel

Job Expectations:

Hybrid schedule, 4 days in the office 1 day remote

Compensation:

Hourly wage for the state of Connecticut-$24.38-$36.59

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
