What Does a Successful POS Senior Engineering Manager Do at Fiserv?

As a Senior Engineering Manager at Fiserv, you will drive the technical transformation of our applications to the cloud, leading a team of talented engineers in developing innovative, scalable, and secure solutions. What You Will Do:

Lead and mentor a team of engineers as they migrate legacy applications to modern cloud platforms.

Develop and execute cloud migration strategies that align with business objectives and technical requirements.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable, secure, and efficient cloud architectures.

Oversee the full migration process, from initial planning to execution, monitoring, and optimization.

Ensure cloud solutions meet the highest standards for security, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

Drive continuous improvement in application delivery, leveraging DevOps and CI/CD best practices.

Foster a culture of innovation, providing technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing clear updates on project status, risks, and challenges.

What You Will Need to Have:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

10+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Expertise in cloud architectures and services, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

Proven experience in application migration and modernization (rehosting, replatforming, and refactoring).

Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound technical decisions under pressure.

Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire engineering teams to achieve high performance.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Familiarity with cloud security and compliance requirements, ensuring robust security measures are implemented.
