Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse to assume responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care. The nurse demonstrates ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner with supervision. The nurse demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care. Consistently performs according to nursing standards and is accountable in managing patient care and assisting others in the management of patient care.

Requirements: Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices.  Full command of the English language, both verbal and written.  Current Health Certificate (per facility contract or state regulation).  Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.  One year prior professional nursing experience preferred.  Current BLS card.  Minimum Experience REQUIRED: Two years of strong Med/Surg, 1 travel assignment, trauma level II experience. Charting Experience: Recent EPIC experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class) Patient Population:   Med/Surg. population – post-surgical, UTI, sepsis, high fall risk, COPD, CHF  Skillset: Remote tele, chest tubes, NG/PEG tubes, straight cath/Foleys, ostomies, Heparin drips, blood/blood product administration, tracheostomy are, PCA management.  Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills! Hard worker, resilient and manages change well, social candidates
Unit Information:  41 beds.  Ratio: Days 1:4-5; NOCs 1:6-7 Unit Strengths: Experienced leadership, CNA support. Scrub Colors: Navy blue scrubs
Covid-19 Vaccine Not Required — Subject to change

GSA hours are not guaranteed the week of Orientation. Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where unit is closed Travel Med Surg RN – Contract Length: 13 weeks Start: 2/24 – Bi-weekly orientation  Guaranteed Hours: 36 (will accept 48 upon request) Primary location: Midtown
