Tri Pointe Connect, the mortgage affiliate of Tri Pointe Homes, is looking for an experienced individual to join our talented group in Arizona as a Post-Closing Manager. Position Highlights: The Post-Closing Manager oversees the post-closing department to ensure the timely and accurate completion of all post-closing activities for loans. This includes reviewing loan files, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, preparing documentation for final processing, and resolving any issues that arise after loan closing. The role involves managing a team, collaborating with other departments, and ensuring that all post-closing tasks are executed efficiently. Position Responsibilities: Monitor and ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., RESPA, TRID, HMDA) in post-closing activities. Working with production and operations, address and resolve any post-closing investor suspense items, including document discrepancies, missing docs, and/or compliance violations. Lead and manage a team of Post-Closing Specialists to include monitoring workflow, allocating resources, providing training, coaching and performance management. Prepare and distribute post-closing reports, as necessary. Maintain accuracy of post-closing status dates in the loan origination system for accurate reporting. Ensure delivery of trailing documents to investors by published deadlines. Manage government ensuring activities to include ensuring mortgage insurance premium or funding fees are paid within required timeframe, delivering case files to FHA or VA, following up on exceptions cited during underwriting review, and insuring government loans by prescribed deadlines, as needed. Oversee and monitor multiple service levels for services provided by a third party within the post-closing work stream which include loan delivery, conventional MI payment, investor suspense, collateral shipping, and final doc delivery Develop reporting and tracking to monitor and ensure compliance and timeliness of action for government insuring and interim loan servicing activity Identify and develop processes within post-closing to streamline and improve overall funding to purchase timeline Monitor loans on warehouse line to ensure collateral is shipped, dried, and loans are purchased within an appropriate timeline so as not to incur additional curtailments Develop post-closing trending reporting to identify areas where multiple errors exist, or timelines are extended. Using trending reporting, develop training or processes to reduce errors and improve overall timeline Oversee all interim servicing activity including tracking and posting customer payments, customer service relating to questions about loan servicer or making payments, and facilitating payoff demands Work with appropriate departments on any investor loan rejection, repurchase, or indemnification requests resulting from suspense or audit reviews, including facilitating sale of a loan to an alternate investor on the secondary market Perform any and all other duties at the direction of the manager. Position Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry related experience. 5 years of Post-Closing, Processing or Closing experience required. 3-5 years of supervisory/management experience. Knowledge of mortgage documents Strong knowledge of government lending requirements including FHA mortgage insurance and FHA required documentation and VA Funding Fee and required VA documentation Strong knowledge of post-closing process, compliance regulations (RESPA, TRID, etc.) and investor guidelines. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, verbal and written Knowledge of loan origination systems, Encompass preferred. Proficiency with MS Office products to include Excel and Word Exceptional internal and external customer service skills Deadline driven Able to handle heavy volume during peak times.
