Post Closing Specialist:
The Post Closing Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all post-closing activities related to
escrow transactions are completed accurately and efficiently. This includes ensuring that all
documents are properly executed, recorded, and delivered, and that all funds are accurately
disbursed.
Job Responsibilities:
· Responsible for issuing final checks per transaction
· Ensuring accurate mailing/overnight addresses
· Confirm all required supporting documentation is included with payment
· Manages returned payments and/or funds as applicable
· Coordinate with branch to obtain any missing information or documentation.
· Verify wire confirmations, certified checks and confirm that all funds have been received
and file is balanced.
· Initiate all wire request with National Wire Desk.
· Disburse funds according to the closing statement and ensure all parties receive the
correct amounts.
· Process 1099’s.
· Handle post-closing issues such as payoffs, escrow shortages, stop payments, outstanding
checks, refund issues.
· Provide exceptional customer service to all parties involved in the transaction.
Education / Experience
• Demonstrated understanding of the real estate transaction including knowledge about
the different aspects of the “life of a file.”
