Post-Doc Research Associate
Vacancy ID: PDS004206 Position Summary/Description: The postdoctoral research associate will be cancer cell immunology and protein engineering who will be responsible for complex immunological cell culture and in vivo models, database management, computational analysis, and experimental design. The qualified candidate will integrate information from a combination of sources, including protein engineering, next-generation sequencing, CRISPR screening, and bioinformatics. The Chung lab harnesses the anti-tumor potential of our immune system via synthetic biology. We’re exploring the crossroads of synthetic biology, immunology, and cancer cell biology. We engineer cells so that they achieve maximum therapeutic efficacy at the right place and at the right timing. More specifically, we are (1) generating a compendium of master regulator combinations of different T cell states and (2) creating advanced synthetic biology toolkits for artificial cell state differentiation. In the longer term, (3) we will modulate the crosstalk between T cells and tumor microenvironment ( TME ) via designer oncolytic viruses. Education and Experience: The ideal candidate must have a strong record of reliability, consistency, and organization; able to complete many different tasks simultaneously and have excellent time management skills. The desired candidate will have great interpersonal skills, is able to follow directions, can handle constructive feedback and will work productively with others
