Microsoft Research (MSR) is an academic research organization within Microsoft. Our mission is to generate socially impactful research and innovation. The labs are interdisciplinary, including leading scholars in computer science, machine learning, computational biology, applied mathematics, and media studies. MSR Post Doc Researchers participate in seminars and the intellectual life of the lab, but there are no corporate work responsibilities. Post-docs have opportunities to access Microsoft data, e.g. on online advertising auctions, Xbox use, web browsing, or employee behavior.

We are hiring in applied theory and applied micro, including behavioral, development, digitization, econometrics, game theory, health, labor, IO, machine learning, market design, public, and related fields.

Post-docs are hired for one to two years at a competitive salary in Cambridge, MA, or New York, NY.
