As a post-doctoral associate in CT AI reconstruction, you will have the opportunity to conduct research in an interdisciplinary team environment. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will contribute to the planning, development, and transition of technologies from concept to products and/or services for GE internally and external clients.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Conduct research in an interdisciplinary team on new reconstruction and image process for CT systems leveraging AI technologies.Prepare and participate in project and technical reviews.Provide expertise to help resolve technical challenges across the organization.Collaborate in the development of internal and external project proposals and initiatives.Protect intellectual property through patents where appropriate.Foster a multidisciplinary and inclusive team environment.

Required Qualifications

PhD in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Math, Physics, with at least 4 years experience in CT systems and AI based reconstruction, system design, image reconstruction, detector physics and/or modeling. Deep knowledge and experience in medical imaging, radiation physics, and image reconstruction and with a focus on CT, PET and/or Nuclear, or X-ray imaging systemsHands-on experience in evaluating and optimizing medical imaging systems or Monte Carlo modeling.A proven record of research demonstrated by peer-reviewed conference proceedings, and journal publications.Must be willing to work out of an office located in Niskayuna, NY

Desired Characteristics

Experience with NIH, ARPA-H or other government funded programs as a co-investigator or Principal Investigator.Proficiency with software development in MATLAB, C++, and/or Python

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $93,840.00-$140,760.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
